Job overview and responsibilities
The Manager-Provisioning develops and executes the strategy for onboard product (customer and aircraft) supply chain processes to ensure optimal inventory stock levels are available at the right locations to support operational reliability and customer service. The Manager oversees production warehouses and is responsible for the availability of onboard products globally. The Manager will also be tasked with developing long-term strategies and plans to integrate provisioning operation with other Technical Operations distribution groups to reduce cost and improve service levels.
Develops and executes the strategy for onboard product supply chain processes to maintain optimal inventory stock levels.
Supports operational reliability and customer service.
Manages warehouse facilities to ensure cost-effective and efficient operations.
Collaborates with Marketing, Inflight, and Cabins in defining the products offered to our customers.
Ensures that Provisioning employees can execute to defined standards.
Makes recommendations on minimizing multiple part numbers and reducing the complexity of services offered to reduce the risk of defects in the storage of products.
Collaborates with Procurement in the development of product contracts and order placement.
Monitors the status of replenishment orders and ensures product arrives at distribution points at the right time to prevent shortages at stations globally.
Manages shipments, collaborates with Transportation and Cargo groups and 3PL carriers to determine cost-efficient transportation methods of product distribution to ensure the supply chain need is being met. Identifies and raises awareness around potential risks in the supply chain, including Custom clearance issues that may have a significant impact on the timely delivery of products.
Investigates and resolves product shortages with manufacturers, distributors, and transportation companies.
Oversees the safety and security of provisioning facilities. Assists and is accountable for subsequent investigation and root cause remediation.
Maintains budgetary responsibility for shipment and distribution costs and identifies and implements cost-savings opportunities to continually improve distribution expense.
Manages resource planning with third-party labor vendors. Maintains contract compliance and plans future contractual terms.
Bachelor's degree in a quantitative field such as math, statistics, operations research or engineering required.
Three (3) years of work experience in warehousing, distribution, supply chain, logistics, or a related field.
Understanding of supply chain functions including sourcing/procurement, vendor management, inventory planning, warehousing and logistics
Exceptional presentation and communication skills up to executive leadership.
Exhibits an analytical approach to problem solving with attention to detail and a sense of urgency.
Ability to work independently.
Will require traveling at least 50% of the time (domestic/international)
MS degree in a quantitative field such as math, statistics, data science/machine learning, operations research and/or MBA.
Lean Six Sigma Green/Black Belt certification.
Supply chain or transportation management expertise. Background in Airport Operations. Aircraft cabins and/or provisioning-related work experience
Three (3) years management experience. Project management experience. Experience with continuous improvement methodologies.
