Technical Operations

Technical Operations is the maintenance, repair and overhaul division of United. The department includes aircraft maintenance technicians, engineers, planners, ground equipment and facilities teams, supply chain teams and more.

Overview

The Program Analyst - Maintenance Programs will develop and prepare maintenance program analysis and related documentation for the United aircraft fleet. This person will ensure safe, reliable and cost effective operations are achieved with oversight from SME. Additionally, they will develop and justify additions/changes/deletions of the routine maintenance program as specified in GMM 05-35-75 (Maintenance Specification Amendment). This person will maintain the routine maintenance program as specified in GMM 05-35-70 (Maintenance Schedule Program). They will ensure that the program is in compliance with all regulatory requirements, including the Boeing MPD Section 9/Airbus ALS Requirements. This person represents United Airlines at industry activities such as Boeing/Airbus Industry Steering Committee and associated working groups.

Additional Responsibilities include:

  • Review and interpret regulatory requirements for impact on United’s maintenance program and ensure compliance with current Federal Air Regulations, company policies and procedures as applicable under oversight of SME

  • Develop Maintenance Program documentation, impact and cost benefit analysis under oversight of SME

  • Answer queries for other departments regarding fleet maintenance program

Required

  • Bachelor's degree in related teachnical field or equivalent relevant work experience

  • 2 years of analysis work, internship, and/or project experience (or in lieu of experience, a technical degree required)

  • Proficient in Microsoft office Products (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.)

  • Ability to work in a team under the direction of an experienced SME

  • Read and interpret technical data analysis.

  • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States for any employer without sponsorship

  • Successful completion of interview required to meet job qualification

  • Reliable, punctual attendance is an essential function of the position

Preferred

  • Airframe and Power plant and/or E License

  • Knowledge of MSG3 analysis philosophy

  • 3+ years in a related technical field

  • Ability to perform a maintenance program related cost/benefit analysis
