Technical Operations/Maintenance

Technical Operations includes the maintenance, and overhaul of our aircraft. This includes aircraft maintenance technicians, engineers, planners, ground equipment and facilities teams, supply chain teams and more.

Job overview and Responsibility:

Lead the implementation and maturation of SMS, enhanced Human Factors training for management, LOSA (Line Operational Safety Audit) and other safety & regulatory compliance programs in Tech Ops to identify hazards and to reduce safety risks

  • Develop, implement and sustain the Safety Management System, Human Factors and other safety & compliance programs across Tech Ops

  • Investigate significant regulatory non-compliance or quality escape events to seek root cause and prevent recurrence

  • Coach and develop our team and others

Required

  • B. S. Degree.in aviation or engineering, or four equivalent years of technical operations experience

  • 5 years of experience in maintenance, inspection of heavy commercial aircraft

  • Thorough understanding of FAA 14CFR, UAL policy-procedures & root cause analysis tools plus the proven skills in successful collaboration with business partner

  • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States for any employer without sponsorship

  • Successful completion of interview required to meet job qualification

  • Reliable, punctual attendance is an essential function of the position

Preferred

  • Masters Degree in business or in a technical field or three years in maintenance management

  • FAA A&P License

  • 3 years of experience as a manager in a quality field

  • American Society of Quality or other relevant certification

  • Thorough understanding of FAA Part 121, 145 & safety management systems & the proven skills in continuous improvement processes
