Technical Operations

Technical Operations includes the maintenance, repair and overhaul of our aircraft. This includes aircraft maintenance technicians, engineers, planners, ground equipment and facilities teams, supply chain teams and more.

Job overview and responsibilities

Utilize understanding of departmental contracts and airframe manufacturer product support and assurance agreements to initiate the warranty claims for the capture of all available contractual warranty remedies and non-contractual business consideration remedies.

  • Expendable, non-repairable aircraft part "nonrountine" removals

  • Apply business acumen and communication skills in negotiating timely settlement of claims

  • Capture and compile data from MRO information systems (including SCEPTRE, Illustrated Parts Catalog, eSFR, EIM, ARDocs, TOCS, etc.) to prepare and compile the above-referenced claims

  • Initiate technical investigations involving product performance and design development activities and provide feedback to appropriate groups for product improvement and new product development

  • Consult on warranty issues and coordinate the communication needs and activities with suppliers and key stakeholders

  • Advocate and negotiate on behalf of the Company with Vendors in support of the above-referenced claim categories and additional business consideration claims

This position is offered on local terms and conditions within United’s wholly owned subsidiary United Airlines Business Services Pvt. Ltd. Expatriate assignments and sponsorship for employment visas, even on a time-limited visa status, will not be awarded.

Required

  • Bachelors Degree in Supply Chain, Aviation, Engineering, Legal, Business or similar

  • 1+ years of experience in corporate Supply Chain Department, Finance, or similar

  • Negotiation skills and experience

  • Data acquisition and manipulation in Excel (Pivot Sheets, Vlookups, etc.)

  • Effective Communication Skills

  • Analytical Skills

  • Organizational Skills

  • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States for any employer without sponsorship

  • Successful completion of interview required to meet job qualification

  • Reliable, punctual attendance is an essential function of the position

Preferred

  • Aircraft A&P License

  • 2 Years Experience in Airline Supply Chain Department

  • Airline Technical Operations Supply Chain experience

  • Familiarity with Boeing and Airbus Product Support and Product Assurance Documents

  • Purchase/Repair Orders familiarity

  • Illustrated Parts Catalog

  • Contract Language Interpretation
